Lee smiled softly, as he sat at a coffee shop. Tama was sitting in front of him holding a folder in hand. She was writing notes down in a neat beautiful hand written notes. Lee had never learned to write although it was weird, only those who had money and a proper education could write. Especially in this day in age. Some nobles couldn't even write properly. As the small girl wrote, Lee tried to read the words but failed, unable to read upside down. "I never learned how to write." He said softly as he looked at the small girl as she smiled softly.
"I learned how to write when i was younger. I use to take care of a girl. She had many of tutors, although she would spend hours on her homework. She would make me do it, because she didn't want to do it anymore. I would spend hours as well to do it. Although once I started to get it, it became easier. The girl became jealous and soon I was kicked out. Sold to a different fellow that ran a circus."
The boy was taken aback. She was a slave. That would explain the weird behavior of disappearing. It would also explain why she was in the Rev group. Although he didn't take her as a slave. She was refine in a sort of way, refreshing. He saw slaves more as a frighten tiny child. They were to him unstable creatures that people destroyed. Although this child seemed almost like she was putting up a front.
As time went on he watched her write first in English then reverting into some secret writing. He watched the girl as she wrote. He was cirouse now what she was writing. "What are you writing?"
"Well, I found out that the Skull pirates use a warehouse on the outskirts of town. I even got a key of where they are staying. I also found out that the person at the cafe is actually one of their crew mates. Well use to be. The marines are not really keeping a close eye on them because they view them as a threat. But they are not acting only because they cannot with their commander out of commission. Turns out the man was poisoned. I ran some rumors around and found out that the captain of the Skull pirates might have poisoned him. Not only that, but every 3 weeks a girl is missing. Its getting more regular. But it has been the problem children. So people just thought they ran away. I'm afraid they might have been taken by the Skull pirates."
Lee was surprised by her knowledge. It had taken him two days to find out that the man at the cafe was related to one of the crewmates. "How did you get that information?"
"Easy. When we were walking the owner looked like the wanted poster. Not only that, but when i went inside there was a distinct smell of woods. I went to the resident place were they sell houses and asked if they had any houses for sale in the woods. They said yes and they showed me were it was. Gave me a key. I went to the key smith had them copy it saying that my mom needs a key. That was easy to fool him. I went down there. Luckily the people were gone but you could tell they have been living there for awhile. I followed their tracks to their ship seeing that it was hidden in the marsh part of the Island. I then went to the marines place and told them I lost my mom. Sat in there for an hour or three and soon found everything out."
