Hey, welcome and all. (Unless you're an alt. :P) The staff would just like you to explain exactly how you would use this Ki-Ki Fruit. In terms of manipulating Kinetic Energy and Potential Energy, some other form of energy? Just give us your interpretation of how this fruit will work out with your character. :)

Hmm.. not sure if you're asking another writing sample or a clear definition of what I understand under the Energy Energy fruit.

Anyhow, I thought of it as some kind of fluid form. Maybe the ability to change the body into pure energy and act like a Logia,

If not, I think the Energy Energy fruit could be defined of being able to manipulate energy, and energy like the Kamehameha from Dragon Ball Z, or! Just thought of this one, which would be best now that I think of it:

Alright, what is displayed in X-Men is the manipulation of all types of energy, absorption, and translation. Due to this, we are going to have to limit what you can do potentially as you may be able to manipulate the energies of physics to cause severe and versatile effects. Versatility isn't bad, but you can do a lot with just one type of energy. If you want to control spiritual energy like DBZ does, you won't have the same effect that is represented in DBZ in terms of potency. I'm sorry, at T1 I hope you don't expect to use kamehameha because that is a severely powerful technique.

But you can choose something other than that, like Mechanical energy (Kinetic + Potential) you'd be able to manipulate the physical side of energy. Thermal? You'd be controlling temperature, heat, and with hte control over heat brings the ability to create cold. What is NOT an option is Nuclear energy. But, you can apply this fruit in many different ways it all depends on the type of energy you want. We'll probably keep and eye on your usage of it, as it has a versatility unlike any other.

Than, as this would be the most logical and most useful, I'd choose the Mechanical Energy (Kinetic and Potential), as long as this summary is a good definition of that: the power to absorb impacts and reproduce them?

And, what if, let's say, Nymeros is an archer.
Will he be able to shoot arrows at higher speed due to the fruit?

Anyhow, Thermal should be a different devil fruit IMO while spiritual energy won't do it for me, so there is like no other choice than kinetic/potential c:

Thermal is a type of energy, this is the energy fruit. You could make arrows go faster, but it'd be a technique.

IF you choose mechanical energy (Kinetic and potential energy) you won't be producing energy beams and stuff with it. You can produce raw, physical force.

Examples of what Mechanical energy could eventually be used for are thus.

You would be able to absorb and re-apply the energy in several ways, however you would still take the damage in most cases unless it is a higher tier tech, thus refer to kinetic flow from outer lineage.

You would be able to take the energy your body creates from movement like running or attacking and use it to enhance the movements or attacks. For instance punching at someone. You could use the energy to extend the range at full force and hit someone with the energy you created without having to be in range of an actual physical blow. (think like fishman karate on that)

You would be able to use energy to push you around in unnatural ways. Which has some pretty neat implications.

You could even use it to eventually at higher tiers potentially counter physical attacks by applying the proper amount of physical energy.

These are just some examples of Mechanical energy. However this does not include beams and balls of energy like you were doing.

If this is what you wanted, you would have to change the attack in your writing sample. Otherwise, if you wanted to do spiritual energy manipulation you could do beams and balls and stuff. However you wouldn't be able to do the absorption aspect. This is similar to dbz, or Ki energy which is life force energy which could be similar to chakra from Naruto which allows you to do multiple different things as well.


Keep in mind at t1 you will not be doing anything complicated.

I'll go with the impact absorption c:

The boy Nymeros had knocked out by slamming the table ontop of him, was a sign that the patrolling guardsmen should come out and aid the East Blue-set town in their time of need. The Red Demon, Akaoni no Nymeros, was their enemy. They, a group of eight men ran towards Nymeros armed with swords, cutlasses, spears and shields. ''Take him out at any cost! Arrest or kill him!'' The guard at the front said, as he tried to drive his spearhead right through Nymeros's body. Yes.. tried. With a simple movement, Nymeros moved his body to the left by rotating and avoided the spear, only to catch the polearm with his hand, causing the guard to run onto his elbow and knock himself out. Than, Nymeros rotated more so he would face the other guards too. He looked towards the ground before raising his head with a sinister look in his eyes. As the guards came closer and closer, Nymeros put his palms together and bowed forward. A ritual performed in ancient close-combat martial arts, mostly performed before and after a duel. ''STOP! WE WILL TAKE CARE OF THE RED DEMON!'' Someone shouted. Nymeros looked over his shoulder as he saw a group of marines with their guns pointed at him. The guards with the melee weapons stepped back and also civilians cleared the area. There was a 20 meter radius with no one in there aside from Nymeros Nogarys. He smiled. ''DON'T MOVE OR WE WILL OPEN FIRE!'' One of the marine soldiers said, who walked towards Nymeros in order to put the cuffs on him. However, when close to Nymeros, Nymeros started moving and digged his fist onto the marines chin from below, knocking him upwards a little. Than, as the marine soldier hit the ground, the guns started firing their bullets towards Nymeros. ''Thank you.'' He whispered to himself, as he started to absorb the energy the bullets, the guns and everything else had created. The bullets were lying on the ground if not simply disappeared. He then looked around, rotating his head 180 degrees looking at all the marine soldiers around him. He lifted his arm before smacking it into the ground, unleashing all of the absorbed energy to the floor, creating a crater that blew away the marine soldiers around Nymeros due to the hard impact and a atmospheric shockwave that was send out due to it. After Nymeros's offensive attack, he walked away from the place smiling.

Summary:
Nymeros made a guard run into his elbow, knocking him out.
Nymeros uppercutted a marine soldier who wanted to cuff him.
Nymeros absorbed the kinetic and potential energy off the bullets that were fired at him, and also of the guns that created the velocity of the bullets.
Than, Nymeros got rid of that energy by sending it crashing into the ground all at once, creating a perimeter shockwave that was large enough to take out the remaining marines.
