Haki System

- All users can roll for Aura at character creation up to 4 times unless staff grants more.

- Each Aura has at least two of the three haki's.

- Priority 1 (P1) means your Haki equals the equivalent of your current Tier with no restraint.

- Priority 2 (P2) means you are set back a tier for Haki until its train into Priority 1.

- Priority 2 Haoshoku means that you are able to unlock Haoshoku Haki through discovering it after reaching Character Tier 3.

- Priority 2 can be trained into Priority 1 type through training or simple usage of haki over time, except for Haoshoku.

-Potency of Haki increases with higher haki tiers.

- ser rolls a die, the possible options are:

Basic Tier Auras:

Silver Aura (Also Known as Champion's Crown) ( P1: Busoshoku Haki / P1:Kenbunshoku Haki, P2: Haoshoku Haki (Latent))

Crimson Aura (Also Known as Berserk Heart) (P1: Busoshoku Haki / P2: Kenbunshoku Haki)

Cobalt Aura (Also Known as God's Blessing) (P2: Busoshoku Haki / P1: Kenbunshoku Haki)

Gray Aura (Also Known as Superior Instinct) (P2: Busoshoku Haki / P2: Kenbunshoku Haki)

Azure Aura (Also Known as Demonic Aura) (P2:Busoshoku Haki/ P2:Haoshoku Haki (Latent)/ P1: Kenbunshoku Haki)

Top Tier Auras:

White Aura ( Also Known as  Angelic Grace ) ( P1:Haoshoku Haki / P2: Busoshoku Haki / P1:Kenbunshoku Haki)

Gold Aura ( Also Known as Demigod's Heart) ( P1:Haoshoku Haki / P1: Busoshoku Haki / P2:Kenbunshoku Haki)

Poly Aura ( Also Known as Emperor's Mercy) ( P1:Haoshoku Haki / P1: Busoshoku Haki / P1:Kenbunshoku Haki)

Priority Information:

P1: This is the starter for haki that has not been afflicted by the setback stage or is no longer afflicted by it. In order to progress to the next level, one must show a sufficient amount of active implementation of the haki, whether it be training or progressively throughout the roleplays. This just requires experimentation to level up, and not much more effort than before.

P2: This is a setback for most Hakis, and is the “Latent” stage of Haoshoku. In order to progress to the next stage, one must show a topic where they train the ability of the specific haki and then apply it in another topic. Alternatively, one may just show an active progression of haki in their topics without spending time on direct training. The training (this will not be noted again further in) is on the person’s own terms as long as they sufficiently try and get the job done.

Type Information and Usage

Haoshoku Haki

Haoshoku is a powerful thing, the ability to influence others to let go of their hostilities and just sleep peacefully. While it has an intense activation, the result is essentially the intention. One may knock out equal tier and lower NPC’s. Haoshoku can be used to tame animals of equal tier and lower, as well as having the potential to affect PC’s. The issue is, by T5 the effects of Haoshoku can easily be resisted, but as long as someone is two-tiers above another, then they may knock them out with severe strain (causing themselves to be fatigued). Strong-willed people are hard to knock out, and up to three may be knocked out at once. As for NPC’s, they take negligible strain usually as they are more weak-minded. The range of effectiveness is 10 meters per tier. Also, if two people will it, they may use Haoshoku to establish a telepathic communication for 25 meters per tier to a maximum of 100 meters. The telepathic bond only shares information one person in the bond is willing to give (i.e. person 1 can say “hi” but his thoughts are hidden. Same for person 2). The cooldown for Haoshoku is 6 posts no matter the tier, unless it causes mental strain in which the cooldown is extended to 12 posts.

Busoshoku Haki

Busoshoku grants an aegis of equal endurance to the current tier one may be in, essentially acting as a shield that must be broken with the same difficulty as trying to wound the user. At higher tiers (T4-T6) it may be used to prevent one attack that breaks through the defenses. A P2 Busoshoku defense is barely an increase, and it is hard to maintain, cutting the duration in half. For each tier, Busoshoku lasts 3 posts. The cooldown of Busoshoku is 10 posts from T1-T2, 6 posts from T3-T5, and 4 posts at T6. Also, it grants an edge in strength against those who don't use busoshoku or those with inferior busoshoku. Finally, Busoshoku allows the user to harm logias, since busoshoku is able to bypass a Logia intangibility.

Ebony Armament:

-Obtained at Start

Onyx Armament:

-Obtained at Haki Tier 2

Jet Black Armament:

-Gain the ability to create shields of haki in any direction

Black Armament:

-Obtained at Haki Tier 6

-Gain the “Emperor’s Aegis” ability

Kenbunshoku Haki

Kenbunshoku is the premonition that people naturally have, allowing them to predict attacks with enough speed to dodge or maneuver to dampen the blow, or to time a block. When someone is at a superior tier than another, they may instinctively dodge the lower tier’s attacks for the duration, but only at higher tiers (T4-T6). At lower tiers, it grants someone an edge in agility, allowing a non-kenbunshoku user to be dominated in speed if at an equal tier. Non-lethal blows can be dodged instinctively at lower tiers, if the person is at a superior tier and kenbunshoku is activated. One lethal blow may be dodged every two tier’s, but with an eight post cooldown each dodge. Kenbunshoku may also sense the presence of someone within 20 meters per tier. At higher tiers, the power-level and whether or not the person is an enemy can be determined (if you don’t have it activated and they approach you with a friendly appearance, you cannot use this to metagame all of a sudden.) For every tier, this lasts 2 posts. The cooldown for kenbunshoku is 6 posts from T1-T2, 4 from T3 on. Kenbunshoku grants an edge in speed and dexterity over those not using haki or those with an inferior haki tier.

Levels:

Keen Scope (Range: 10 Meters)

-Unlocked at start

-Ability to sense others within range

Orion's Scope (Range: 20 meters)

-Unlocked at Haki Tier 2

-Ability to sense the location of others within range

-Ability to dodge a fatal blow (Once per topic)

Soul Scope (Range: 30 meters)

-Unlocked at Haki Tier 3

-Ability to sense the location of others within range

-Ability to avoid a fatal blow. (Once per topic)

-Sense the emotions and feelings of others

Champion's Scope (Range: 40 meters)

-Unlocked at Haki Tier 4

-Ability to sense the location of others within range

-Ability to avoid a fatal blow. (Twice per topic with 8 post cooldown between each dodge.)

-Ability to see people's emotions as colors.

Demon’s Scope (Range: 50 Meters)

-Unlocked at Haki Tier 5

-Ability to avoid a fatal blow. (Twice per topic with 8 post cooldown between each dodge.)

-Ability to sense the location of others within range

-Ability to feel the emotions of others (Can only target one being at a time)

God’s Scope (Range: 60 Meters)

-Unlocked at Haki Tier 6

-Ability to avoid a fatal blow (Three times per topic with 8 post Cooldown between each dodge. )

-Ability to sense the location of others within range

-Able to clearly understand the emotions of others as if they were your own

-Gain access to the “Oracle” Ability

*Refers to those with Haoshoku as an active Haki Type, not those with it as a latent type. You cannot exit Latency until T3, as Haki develops separately from the character's tiers.

Haki Guidelines

Haki is the natural ability that the living beings of this universe contains, to either form the mystical aegis of Busoshoku or summon the mind’s eye with Kenbunshoku. In rare instances, strong-willed creatures may possess the leadership-necessary ability of Haoshoku, which allows the ability to tame the creates around. In the more humanoid use of Haoshoku, it is used to render someone immobile and unconscious to eliminate their hostility. Usually, people will be born with a favored haki between Busoshoku and Kenbunshoku, but this is only a temporary setback for the unfavored haki. Haoshoku is usually latent, or not even present, but a rare few have the natural ability to use it from the start - usually the greatest of minds.

Busoshoku

Busoshoku grants an aegis of equal endurance to the current tier one may be in, essentially acting as a shield that must be broken with the same difficulty as trying to wound the user. At higher tiers (T4-T6) it may be used to prevent one attack that breaks through the defenses. At lower tiers, it just makes one much more resilient.

Kenbunshoku

Kenbunshoku may also sense the presence of someone within 10 meters per tier, at T6 reaching 60 instead of 50 meters.

The cooldown for Haoshoku is 6 posts no matter the tier, unless it causes mental strain in which the cooldown is extended to 12 posts.

Haki Levels

P2: This is a setback for most Hakis, and is the “Latent” stage of Haoshoku. In order to progress to the next stage, one must show a topic where they train the ability of the specific haki and then apply it in another topic. Alternatively, one may just show an active progression of haki in their topics without spending time on direct training. The training (this will not be noted again further in) is on the person’s own terms as long as they sufficiently try and get the job done.

P1: This is the starter for haki that has not been afflicted by the setback stage or is no longer afflicted by it. This stage is where the haki works at full force, unlike before where it only worked at half-force. In order to progress to the next level, one must show a sufficient amount of active implementation of the haki, whether it be training or progressively throughout the roleplays. This just requires experimentation to level up, and not much more effort than before. This is where Tier 2 and up start if they were to have P2 in their haki.

Champion’s Haki: This is the level in which one starts using their haki more proficiently, an automatic start point for T2 characters. This is considered “T2” in power, and the next level is obtained like before but with more effort. The next level is albeit harder than experienced before, as it requires haki users challenge themselves with obstacles that require a specific haki to predominantly assist them.

Lord’s Haki: Just like before, this is equivalent to a tier-up in haki power. This stage brings an incentive if all three haki abilities are at least this level, called “Synergy”. Synergy grants haki users utilizing all three to use the longest duration as the duration for each, with a 1-post extension. Also, it grants 2 custom Haki techniques. To obtain the next level requires an exhilarating curriculum of in-battle experience and training to achieve a higher state of mind, requiring mental training and physical training utilized together in meditation. It is the refinement of the mind and body, mixing together to flesh out the nature of one’s haki. By now, Busoshoku can coat weapons.

Guardian’s Haki: This is the T4-equivalent haki that brings out yet another unique trait. It is called “Reach” and it allows Haoshoku’s diameter to be applied in one direction with a width of two feet. Reach also affects Busoshoku if used with it, allowing the creation of shields but creating vulnerable spots to do so. For every foot used for a shield, that is a foot-sized vulnerably spot. There is yet another custom haki technique. In order to advance to the next level, one must mix the experience of battle, the experience of mental and physical toning and a major event in order to reflect upon each bit, learning atonement to achieve the clarity required for the haki. The shield is also a concentration of the Busoshoku, allowing it to take two hits of equal tier that would normally pierce busoshoku. Reach also extends the range of Kenbunshoku by 15 meters.

Demigod’s Haki: This is the T5 haki that does not grant another ability, but it does grant yet another technique slot for Haki. Due to such a requirement for mental clarity, previous techniques created may be re-thought out but not entirely changed. In order to pass on to the final level of Haki, one must become like a sage with mental clarity, seeking maximum mental and physical atonement by reflecting on all past experiences. The next level is actually locked until a character is at least T4.

God’s Haki: Due to the nature of the requirements, this level grants two abilities. The first is “Emporer’s Aegis” which allows one to stack Busoshoki twice, allowing one stack to be used for a shield or both to act as an outer-casing across the body. The busoshoku stacks may also account for weapons and armor, or the sacrifice of a stack may extend the duration by 4 posts. Then the second ability, “Oracle” allows someone to counter an attack per post for 2 posts as long as kenbunshoku was activated prior to the attack’s beginning. This counter may not be lethal if the person is two tiers lower at most. Oracle allows people to extend their range by 20 meters. There are two techniques for haki granted at this tier.
